Shadows Remain

Light casts a shadow upon my walls

I can’t remember what I’m looking for

Even in your arms, I still feel alone

There is a beauty in silence, pleasure in pain

Words left unspoken, silently remain

So lost sometimes in this silence, I can’t break free

Alone in this darkness is where I’m meant to be

Over and over, it’s always the same

Over and over, shadows remain

Can’t you just tell me one more time

Everything will be alright

Talk to me softly, everything will be alright

  1. Oh…E… is it too early to tell you this is one my favourite pieces of yours? I’m so.sorry I keep saying it, but I see so much of myself in your writing. I often have to double take and wonder if I have written the same sequence of words and thoughts somewhere on my blog.
Rare, I told you. But I am enjoying it

      1. It means a lot to me too that you take the time to read me. I like your insights, E. You’re perceptive and intelligent, but also very compassionate and profound.
