Of Justice

I know
It’s painful to watch
But necessary
The destruction
Of what you’ve become
In the name
Of justice
Distorted
Painted with
The blood
Of the group
Think
Your identity
Lost
To the throbbing
Mass
Of outrage
And intolerance
No longer accepting
Of those
Who are different
From you

You gave up
So much
In the name
Of justice
That you became
The very thing
We stood against
So as it crumbles
Learn, accept
Each of us
For what we are
An individual
Not so different
As we make ourselves
Out to be
And put aside
Our anger
Our outrage
Our bloated sense
Of justice
And remember
What we first
Stood against

Of Justice
